50,000 population in 16 villages of Pindwara tehsil, Sirohi district, Rajasthan. The population is scattered over 48 settlements or phalis.
Second phase - August 1, 2008 to July 31, 2012.
The first phase ran over four years, ending in July 2008.
To attain population stabilization though improvements in the overall health and Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) status in the project area by sustaining and improving upon the gains made in the previous phase and to extend the project activities to six new villages.
To increase the acceptability of and access to family planning methods by promoting informed choice and Behaviour Change Communication
To ensure quality reproductive and child health services through a mobile clinic and improved linkage with the government
To prepare unmarried adolescents for responsible parenthood by increasing their knowledge on Adolescent Reproductive Sexual Health issues and imparting life skills
To document the learning, processes and good practices for replication and scale-up
