Areas of Intervention
We work for a healthy India, where a woman is empowered to take her own decisions, a couple can make informed choices and the family is assured of an improved quality of life.
We periodically review our objectives, processes, achievements and relevance to keep pace with changing perspectives and discourse on population issues at the national and global level. Findings from field studies guide our advocacy efforts and our interventions.
Currently, we are focused on the eight Empowered Action Group (EAG) states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand where we reach the unserved, underserved areas, vulnerable and marginalized populations. We have worked on arresting the declining female sex ratio in the northern states of Haryana, Punjab and Delhi. We provide care and support services for PLHIV in six high prevalence states and nine highly vulnerable states.
